We had a WONDERFUL time during our Valentine's Day party. It was filled with sweet treats, and sweet kids with sweet teeth! Thank you to those who volunteered. We love our "Love Bugs"! We LOVE our love bugs... and our parent volunteers who put on a WONDERFUL Valentine's party for our kiddos. Thank you all!
The kids had a great time shopping and wrapping gifts for other children for the holiday season. From this experience, we learned that it is truly better to give than receive.
To end our Chinese class this year, Mrs. Walden taught our class how to make Chinese dumplings! Thank you, Mrs. Walden! Our class took a "Museum Walk" around our classroom, to read and celebrate the hard work we put into our published personal narrative pieces. After reading someone's piece, we gave him or her "glowing reviews", based on what we read. Of course, no sophisticated writing museum tour is complete without sparkling grape juice and a cookie! During our measurement unit of study in math, the third graders used a "Class Foot" to measure the lengths of objects around our classroom. Throughout our explorations, we discovered why we can't use just anyone's foot to measure an object, and why using standard units of measure is important.
