Our class took a "Museum Walk" around our classroom, to read and celebrate the hard work we put into our published personal narrative pieces. After reading someone's piece, we gave him or her "glowing reviews", based on what we read. Of course, no sophisticated writing museum tour is complete without sparkling grape juice and a cookie!
During our measurement unit of study in math, the third graders used a "Class Foot" to measure the lengths of objects around our classroom. Throughout our explorations, we discovered why we can't use just anyone's foot to measure an object, and why using standard units of measure is important.
Our third graders in Ms. Beverley's General Music class dramatized the story of "The Firebird" by Igor Stravinsky.
